  What is the Jamboree-on-the-Air?

The Jamboree-on-the-Air, or JOTA, is an annual Scouting event that uses amateur radio to link Scouts around the world, around the nation, and in your own community. Held on the third full weekend of October, this worldwide jamboree is the largest Scouting event of the year.  More information is available on the BSA Jamboree-on-the-Air page.

Our callsign, W2S, is a temporarily assigned special event callsign.  It was coordinated by the American Radio Relay League, the largest national organization of ham radio operators.
